DeadIreland has organised guided cemetery tours during European Cemetery Week and throughout the year, offering visitors an opportunity to explore Ireland's rich funerary heritage. Past programmes have covered several of the country's most historically significant burial grounds.

2009 Programme

Deansgrange Cemetery, Dublin — Every Thursday and every Saturday, 15th June to 15th September 2009. Four tours a day at 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm.

Easter 1916 Tour — Sunday 26th April 2009 at Deansgrange Cemetery, Dublin. Meet at the Funeral Gate at 2:15 pm sharp, visiting the graves of Volunteers, Soldiers and Civilians connected to the Easter Rising.

2008 Programme

Tours were held at the following cemeteries during 2008:

• Deansgrange Cemetery, Dublin
• Arbour Hill Cemetery, Dublin
• Donnybrook Cemetery, Dublin
• Clifton Street Cemetery, Belfast

Deansgrange Cemetery tours ran on Sundays throughout May, June, July, August, and September 2008. One notable tour visited the graves of John McCormack, Ernest Walton, Kathleen Lynn, Frank O'Connor, Flann O'Brien, Seán Lemass, John A. Costello, and Barry Fitzgerald.
